Right off the coast of Britanny, Ile-de-Sein, is a wind-swept and tempest-tossed island.
The stone-flat island seems to be lost in the middle of nowhere during storms when it is cut off from the mainland. The solid granite houses, in a bright blue, line up along very narrow streets. In June 1940, answering the historic message of de Gaulle from London, 150 islanders took to the sea and sailed to England to join the Free French Forces.
