The merovigian princess Enimie cured lepers in the spring waters, this is where the name of the village comes from.
Surrounded by the cliffs of the Causses in which the Tarn river has dug its way. The village has kept its sandstone houses, witnesses to its great past. Chapel Ste Madeleine is part of the remains of an ancient Benedictine monastery.
