Welcome in the Landes! « Les Landes » is the second largest department in France (9 250 km²), you will enjoy the diversity of the territory, the natural and architectural curiosities.

We might note three different areas in « Les Landes »: the seashore, the Natural Regional Park, and the hinterland.

All year round, 56 beaches with 106 kilometres of coast welcome you. You will enjoy the benefits of the ocean with all the activities offered: golf, surf, (some of the best spots for surfing in the world: Hossegor, Capbreton, or Seignosse), water sports, bicycles (200 km of bicycle routes on the coast from North to South)

The coast is not the only attraction in « Les Landes ». During your stay, you might visit the Natural Regional Park in the Landes de Gascogne that also offers many activities. Entirely planted by men, you will discover the largest forest of Europe of maritime pines (600 000 ha). In the heart of the Park, discover the Eco-museum sites: in Sabres, take the old train to get to Airial de Marquèze, in Luxey, discover the workshop of the resinous products, etc.

In the hinterland, there are three main areas: Chalosse, Tursan and Bas Armagnac.
Located in the middle of the Landes, discover Mont de Marsan, « city of the three rivers », it is the main administrative town of the department. It offers a nice architecture. Not far from Mont de Marsan, discover Dax. The city offers many vestiges of the Gallo Roman Era. Famous for its gastronomy, its rugby, its corridas, its festivals, Dax is also the first thermal station in France.
