Cradle of St Hugues, the founder of the Cluny abbey, Semur stands between the two powerful regions of Bourgogne and Bourbonnais.

Thought to be one of the oldest castles in Bourgogne, st Hugues’s castle has a keep. The roman church was founded in the 12th by Geoffroy V.
